This update contains a lot of added goodness. I haven’t updated in awhile due to too much time spent on schoolwork and other things that entertain me more than my blog.
I finished Summer Session I at MCC so I am now officially done with Principles of Microeconmics and Accounting Principles I (A- and B-, respectively). A lot of people told me before going to MCC that it would be like 13th grade. Trust me it is not (at least for summer session). Packing a 15-week class down to a 5 week class leaves you with a lot of class time, and an equal amount of out of class homework every day. So basically, a full time job. Suck.
After I finished Summer Session I, Ryan and I took a glorious vacation to Maine, where he is from. We went to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor and I got to see his school. I even had lobster. Yum!
One of my big goals this summer is that I want to lose some weight. Ryan and I decided to go on the south beach diet. We quit after a week. The south beach diet simply depletes all sugar, fat and carbohydrates from your body in hopes that you can lose weight by sitting on your ass. A few times throughout our week of eating nothing, I started shaking from lack of sugar in my blood stream. Not fun. On top of that, I was in a bad mood and eating chicken, salad or eggs as my sole food consumption for a few weeks is not my idea of a good time. I think I’ll get off my lazy ass and start running instead of wishing away my weight through scrambled eggs every morning.
Charlie & the Chocolate came out this past week in theatres. You absolutely have to see this. I saw it on Friday and Saturday night and want to go again. Its such a fabulous feeling to watch a favorite film recreated to such perfection. And looking at Johnny Depp for a few hours is not painful in the slightest.
Tomorrow starts my second week of Applied Calculus in MCC Summer Session II. After this course is finished, I will never have to look at math, or any painful course again. Smooth sailing and graduation only await me. How sweet.
