When designing the movable type templates and site design, I wanted to make the site extremely modular so whenever I felt like changing the color template (or something else for that matter) all I would have to do was tweak the CSS. This has been the first major color change since my site has been public – and it was a fairly easy upgrade.
Aside from the CSS there were about four other pieces of information that needed tweaking – my Google AdSense template, banner image (logo), and the hide all, show all buttons in the portfolio section. Lucky for me I saved all PSD’s of the images needing to be redone so the hardest part was choosing a color scheme.
I know I’m going to get a bicker or two about the colors – but hey its summer (well, almost). I wanted something vibrant and different for a bit. And hey, if you don’t like it – get my site via RSS or wait a month or two until I am bored with orange and go for a more subtle look.
Overall, I am quite happy with the color updates. I think its a great way to keep marketing myself. Who knows what wacky move I’ll pull next? Exactly. It keeps the traffic coming.
So for all my visitors . . . thanks for stopping by and I hope you have an orange-y day!

Very autumn-like …. you’re making me think about fall ahead of time!!
I don’t know if I was going for an autumn look … more for a hot and blazin’ summer, but if it works for you, great!
