After our IKEA fiasco, Ryan and I decided taking a trip to Toronto would be a wonderful way to bundle a vacation and a trip to exchange our broken MALM IKEA headboard.
Overall the trip was a success. We drove to Toronto Sunday morning. Early in the afternoon prior to checking into our hotel we went to IKEA North York and checked out the new Apple Store in Toronto (the first Canada Apple Store!) After checking into our hotel and relaxing for a bit, we decided to head into downtown Toronto for some dinner and to check out the sites. Of course, the only way to get downtown in style was the commuter way. From our hotel we walked to the bus stop, took a bus to the subway station, a subway to the trolley, and finally a trolley into downtown Toronto. We walked around for a bit and found a nice french seafood restaurant. Overall a really good meal, too bad there had to be this obnoxious singer singing at the top of her lungs. After dinner we went to Second Cup (the Canadian Starbucks) and got a piece of chocolate cake and mulled cranberry drink. Headed back to the hotel where we passed out.
The next morning we woke up and started the drive home. Throughout our trip we kept seeing these smart cars throughout Canada, which as Ryan put it are a golf cart with a complete enclosure. Each time we saw one of these smart cars, Ryan and I would giggle a bit. I can’t tell you how funny it looks on the highway as a smart car is driving next to a huge ass truck.
Overall a wonderful trip. If only summer school wasn’t so soon.

Smart cars are hot! Next time I’ll make sure my car doesn’t break. Maybe I should consider one!
I wasn’t so sure about smart cars, until I read up on them. They are very compact, but I don’t think I would ever buy one. They run on diesel gas (at least in Canada) and the max speed is approximately 83 MPH (135 KPH). If I had a lot of money I would definitely buy one of these as a two and from work car. Ahh . . . how sweet it would be to have that kind of money!
Smart is a subsidiary of Mercedes Benz. These things are coming to the USA this year, albeit using regular gas. I think they rock! They’re my car’s little brother
